Isle of Arran

A castle situated outside the port of Brodick on the isle of arran, an island on the firth of Clyde, Scotland. It was previously a seat of the Dukes of Hamilton but is now owned by the national trust of Scotland.

In 2023 Conservation masonry ltd were awarded main contract by the national trust of Scotland for the large-scale overhaul of the external fabric this included full perimeter access scaffolding, stonework including hand carved natural stone replacement, repointing in historic lime mortars, DOFF cleaning, slater work, lead work, joinery work rot work and redecoration work. As main contractor Conservation Masonry Ltd coordinated and programmed the entire works, working direct to and with the National Trust of Scotland who were not only our client but were part of the team behind the success of the works executed and the contract as a whole.
