WEST DUNBARTONSHIRE COUNCIL NEW OFFICES

In early 2016 Conservation Masonry commenced the restoration of the heavily fire damaged and eroded stone façade and tower of the Church Street elevation of West Dunbartonshire Councils proposed new 18 million pound offices. In conjunction with renowned expert Andrew Wright acting on behalf and with Historic Environment Scotland and Keppie Design Architects the main façade of the building was cleaned via both the DOFF and TORC methods, taken down and rebuilt in areas due to being considerably off plumb, indenting of both moulded and ashlar sections of stone and re-pointed with a lime based pointing mix.
Over 12 months new life has been breathed into the structure making it the perfect frontage to the new state of the art council offices that sit behind it.
