Panmure House, Edinburgh

As the last surviving home of famous Scottish economist Adam Smith Conservation Masonry are proud to have been part of the construction team that have helped convert the Panmure House structure into a home for social and economic debate and the latest academic thinking in the heart of Edinburgh. The works including the formation of new stone walls from the reclaimed downtakings, formation of new ornate fireplaces, re-pointing works and the construction of a new 36 tread stone pencheck staircase which is one of the first to be built in Scotland for almost a century.
